Goal song: Bachman Turner Overdrive “You Ain’t Seen Nothing Yet.”
Music in the arena has a distinct Canadian bent. They play stuff like “Raise a Little Hell” by Trooper (when there’s a fight), “Tom Saywer” by Rush, the guitar riffs from “American Woman” by the Guess Who, “Go for Soda” by Kim Mitchell (TV timeout), “Safety Dance” Men Without Hats (when there’s a general scrum), “Little Bones” Tragically Hip, “I Am a Wild Party” (Kim Mitchell)–this is Gilly’s song and it’s an in-joke.
But inevitably there’s also Queen’s “We Will Rock You” because absolutely every arena ever has to play that at some point.
Their home jerseys are red with black accents on the lower sleeves and shoulders, and gray and white stripes. The team logo is a silver hawk’s head.
